The Kaihanu is our journey-ready double packraft, for journeys on lakes and non-technical rivers up to Class 2.

It is not self-bailing so isn’t suitable for more technical rivers, but is the perfect packraft for journeys such as the Hollyford Pyke Loop, or the Waimakariri Gorge.

The Kaihanu has a TiZip for internal storage.

If you’re looking for a double packraft for some whitewater, this is for you.

If we have no Kaihanu available this will also be great for those journeys.

The Taurua also has a TiZip for internal storage.

This is our self-bailing whitewater packraft.  If you’re looking for a packraft to use in an adventure race though, see here.

TiZips – Pros and Cons

TiZips are great.  They give you access to your packraft, allowing you to store a lot of gear in your packraft for multi-day adventures.

BUT, there are some down sides….

TiZips require a LOT of care and maintenance, and can be prone to failure.  A failed TiZip can be extremely difficult to repair or replace.

We do not offer warranties or guarantees for TiZips.
